A punchy pastel bridal bouquet
When couples come to me with ideas for bridal florals, I often hear the same requests… “No red, and no pastel, please!” I get it, pastel has perhaps been overdone in the wedding world of years past. But I don’t think we should give up on this classic colour palette completely. It still has something to offer that can feel both classy and cool.
The trick with pastel pink is to support it with interesting accents and not to lean too heavily on white, cream, and sage green as companions. What about a touch of lime green? Or a peachy note? And dare I say, a splash of orange?
When I’m working with pastel, I also find it especially important to include plenty of playful texture—seed pods, long stems, and flower heads that bob and move. This keeps the arrangement feeling wild and full of interest.
So let’s keep pastel on the table, shall we? If Jessica Biel taught us anything, it’s that pastel is timeless—and can still be a lot of fun.
